Air Source Heat Pumps
Full system design and installation: room-by-room heat loss survey, radiator and cylinder sizing, commissioning, and your MCS handover pack.
MCS-certified heat pump design and installation with the £7,500–£9,000 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant handled for you — serving Aylesbury, Buckingham, Wendover and the villages of North Bucks.
The government is raising the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant from £7,500 to £9,000 for homes that heat with oil or LPG. It's temporary — the higher amount is expected to run until 31 March 2027 — and it comes straight off your installation invoice. You don't fill in any forms: as your MCS-certified installer, we apply on your behalf and you simply pay the reduced price.
See If You QualifyFull system design and installation: room-by-room heat loss survey, radiator and cylinder sizing, commissioning, and your MCS handover pack.
Built for off-gas-grid village homes: boiler and tank decommissioning, system conversion, and the £9,000 grant applied upfront.
Warm in winter, cool in summer, from discreet wall units — with £2,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme support where eligible.
Heating oil isn't covered by the energy price cap, tanks need topping up before winter, and prices spike exactly when you need heat most. A heat pump delivers three to four units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses — and for oil and LPG homes the grant is at its highest.
| System | Energy used | Cost per year |
|---|---|---|
| Oil boiler (85% efficient) | 2,270 L @ 60p/L | ~£1,360 |
| Air source heat pump (SCOP 3.5) | 5,715 kWh @ 18p/kWh* | ~£1,030 |
| Difference | — | ~£330/yr saved |

A room-by-room heat loss calculation at your home — not a desktop estimate. Free, and yours to keep.
Heat pump, cylinder and emitter sizing matched to your house, with a fixed quote showing the grant already deducted.
Typically two to three days on site. Old boiler and tank decommissioned, system commissioned and explained.
We apply to Ofgem, the voucher is redeemed after commissioning, and you receive your MCS certificate and warranty pack.
We install across Aylesbury, Buckingham, Wendover, Princes Risborough, Winslow and the rural villages of North Buckinghamshire — the oil and LPG heartland, where off-gas-grid homes qualify for the largest grants and see the biggest running-cost savings. If you're anywhere in the Vale or within a sensible drive of it, we cover you.
If you own your home in England or Wales, currently heat it with oil or LPG, and have a valid EPC with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations, you're very likely to qualify from 21 July 2026. Gas-heated homes qualify for £7,500. We confirm eligibility at the survey and make the application for you — full detail in our £9,000 grant guide.
For most oil and LPG homes, yes — a well-designed system typically costs less to run, and unlike oil you're protected from winter price spikes and tank top-ups. The honest answer depends on your tariff and how well the system is designed, which is why we publish our workings in the running costs guide and size everything from a real heat loss survey.
Almost never. Since May 2025 the old one-metre boundary rule is gone in England — most installations are permitted development, provided the unit passes the MCS noise assessment and stays within size limits. Modern units are about as loud as a fridge from a few metres away. See the planning and noise guide for the rules in full.
Usually, with the right siting and sometimes listed building consent for the outdoor unit. North Bucks is full of period homes and we design for them: discreet positioning, acoustic screening, and high-temperature heat pumps where insulation can't be upgraded. Our listed buildings guide covers what's involved.
Sometimes a few, rarely all. Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than boilers, so some radiators may need upsizing to deliver the same warmth. Your heat loss survey tells us exactly which ones — the cost is itemised in your fixed quote, and radiator changes are covered within the granted installation.
No pressure and no obligation — a proper room-by-room calculation and a fixed quote with the grant already deducted.
